Privacy Policy — Hidayah

Hidayah does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.

What stays on your device

Your bookmarks, notes, memorization progress, reading position and settings are stored only on your device. We never receive them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Your location

Prayer times and the Qibla direction are calculated on your device. We never receive or store your location.

It leaves your device in one case only: to show the name of your city, the app asks your phone's operating system (Apple or Google) to turn your coordinates into a place name. Nothing else, and nobody else, receives it.

When the app uses the internet

Hidayah works fully offline. The Quran, translations, tafsir, hadith, duas and the prayer time calculation are all bundled in the app. It connects to the internet only when you choose to:

• Downloading a recitation contacts everyayah.com. Only the surah and reciter you picked are requested.
• Sending a bug report (Settings, About, Report a bug) contacts formsubmit.co, which forwards the report to us by email. It includes what you write, plus your app version, device model, operating system version, app language and selected narration. It does not include your location or anything you have saved in the app.
• Opening a source link from the Credits screen opens that website in your browser.

Children

Hidayah is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone.

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above.
